Drew drawn back to IW

A FORMER councillor who switched to accountancy is to open a branch of his Southampton-based business on the Island.

Drew Mellor, former IW Council Conservative member for Fairlee, left the council in 2005 and qualified as a chartered accountant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

In September last year, he set up Advisory Plus, which specialises in advising entrepreneurs.

The head office was established in Southampton, however Mr Mellor plans to establish an Island office.

"We have been blown away by the response and are now looking to recruit more Island staff. We look forward to setting up our Island office in the coming months," he said.
