PUPILS from Holbeach Primary, in Catford, could return from their Easter break to find work starting on a new purpose-built after-school club.
Crumbling huts which were taking up too much room in the playground of the Doggett Road school are being demolished to make way for the £22,000 proposed building.
It will allow children whose parents cannot pick them up at the end of lessons to be cared for on site.
The old huts used for the club had become a health and safety risk.
Lewisham Council's property and administration department has applied for planning permission for the new single-storey building.
