Now Tim puts his new stamp on old post office

The Londis store, Shanklin.

HAVING tried his hand at running a holiday park and pubs, a Shanklin businessman has taken on the running of the town’s new Londis store.

Tim Phelps, whose family has owned the High Street building which houses the shop for a number of years, said he was delighted by the results of work to convert it.

The building previously housed a post office and sorting office and later a job centre.

The ground floor has been converted into a 980 sq ft shop and the upper floors into flats.

Mr Phelps had been in discussion with Londis since last year and met with Nettlestone Londis store owners Charles and Linda Brading before making his final decision about his store’s future.
