TICKETS to Island events both large and small are being "farmed" by a new Island agency.
Ex Vestas production workers Matt Hambley and his father-in-law Nik Furniss ploughed their redundancy money and a government grant in to the new initiative.
Matt, 26, from Maple Drive, Newport, and Nik, from Allotment Road, Niton, have established Ticket Farm to sell tickets. hopefully from IW Festival and Bestival, down to small-scale concerts and arts events.
They have a promotional draw for people who register this month, with the prize of a Bestival ticket.
"We haven’t yet got both those big events on board because we have only recently become established but we hope to do so," said Matt.
With the slogan "keeping it rural" Ticket Farmers Matt, his wife, Cathy, and Nik say they want to make it safer and easier for people to get tickets and enjoy events on the Island.
Matt said: "Ticket Farm makes it possible to get the best crop of tickets on-line from the comfort of home, office or college.
"The Island has so much talent and so much going on in the arts and theatre, live music, comedy and attractions.
"Not only do we aim to get people in to these events but people who don’t make it can catch up with news and reviews.
"We have gone to great lengths to make sure that people’s experience is a safe, simple and enjoyable one.
"We charge a commission but we want to make it possible for promoters and customers to use a truly local agency.
"We can be reached at
info@ticketfarm.co.uk."
