Members of Borehamwood's Air Training Corps could be winging their way to the twin town of Offenburg in February.
At this year's festival parade, members of the ATC made friends with the Knallfrosch Combo from Offenburg, and gave drinkers at the Waggon and Horses Pub an unplanned concert.
The two bands got on so well that Boreham Wood and Elstree Twin Town Association has promised to try and raise enough funds to send the ATC to Offenburg's carnival in February, and to the French town of Fontenay-aux-Roses' celebration in May.
Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Borehamwood and Elstree being twinned with Offenburg and Fontenay-aux-Roses.
The three towns are planning an ambitious programme of events, and the association wants to hear from anyone who has ideas on how to celebrate the anniversary.
To get involved, or to offer hospitality to the visitors from France and Germany, please write to: Boreham Wood and Elstree Twin Town Association, 82 Manor Way, Borehamwood WD6 1QY.
