IT'S Ladies Day at Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week, when efforts to encourage more women in to sailing will be on show.
The Magenta Project, which aims to be advance women in professional sailing, will be promoting their work.
The project is an international network of women sailors, who aim to improve female representation at regattas.
Yesterday (Monday), London 2012 Paralympic Champion Helena Lucas took people out for a sail, before she heads to Rio.
Today, between 1pm and 3pm, there will be opportunity for young, female sailors to sail the M32 high-performance catamaran.
Celebrity Nick Knowles will then compere the "Get Your kit on Challenge" at Cowes Yacht Haven, between 4pm and 4.30pm.
The man best known for DIY SOS will be chairing a question and answer session about the project.
Ladies Day is rounded off with the awards presentation, with last year's winner Libby Greenhalgh relinquishing her prize to the latest winner.
Throught the day there will be various prizes on offer for women wearing blue and white.
