COWES Week is in safe hands with former England goalkeeper, David Seaman, in town today (Wednesday).
He is visiting the regatta as a spectator with his girlfriend and Dancing On Ice skating professional, Frankie Poultney, and his two children Georgina and Robbie.
Olympic rowing legend, Sir Matthew Pinsent, is also lapping up the Cowes Week atmosphere.
Today Pinsent will be among the crew of the Volvo Ocean Race yacht, 'Azzam’ skippered by double Olympic silver medallist, Ian Walker, who is being filmed by BT Sport.
IRC 1 and Class 0 are racing for the prestigious New York Yacht Club Challenge Cup.
Johnny Vincent and his team on 'Pace’ will be hoping to defend their winning title from last year but face stiff competition from Sir Keith Mill’s '5 Degrees West’.
Elsewhere, this afternoon, there will be plenty of action off The Green with a fleet of 18ft Skiff sailors planning to demonstrate just how fast and exciting there high-performance dinghies really are.
The event, which can be viewed from the shore, is scheduled to start at 5pm, weather dependent.
