New boss needed for Cowes Week

Monday, December 22, 2014 - 14:50

COWES Week Ltd (CWL), organiser of the world-famous Isle of Wight sailing regatta, is looking for a new executive director.

It follows the departure of sales and marketing director, Michelle Warner, who will leave early next year after ten years at CWL.

The new director will be responsible for sponsorship income and supporting the strategic development of one of the UK’s longest running sporting events.

Earlier this year, chief executive Stuart Quarrie agreed to take on a new role as sailing director as part of a company restructure.

CWL said it was part of plans to move away from a chief executive-led hierarchical management structure to an executive management team consisting of a sailing director, sales and marketing director and finance director, led by the chairman of CWL, Peter Dickson.
