DANNY Briggs has had another England call-up.
After impressing with the ball for the England Lions, during their one-day series against Bangladesh A and, more recently, in their series win over Sri Lanka A, Briggs has been selected for the full England squad for their four-match one-day series against Pakistan, which starts next Monday, and also for their three-match Twenty20 series against the same side, starting on February 23.
It means that instead of playing for the Lions in their friendly against the full England side on Friday, he will be on the other side.
Ventnor player Briggs, 19, who plays his county cricket with Hampshire, is a spinner and has so far taken 16 wickets for the Lions this season.
