INDOOR CRICKETYOUNG Cavaliers maintained their 100 per cent record, and kept their lead in the Sandrock Services League, with a comfortable win over Ryde CC Colts last weekend.
Cavaliers posted 111-3, Andy Loudon contributing 25 not out and Dan Keller, 26 not out. Colts did well to contain the scoring, but their batting let them down and they were dismissed for just 75.
Wootton recorded their first win of the season, after restricted their opponents, Arreton, to 112-4.
Rob Wilcox (27) and Sam Harris (22 not out) were the mainstays of the Arreton innings, while Sarah Fish captured two wickets.
Wootton lost two early wickets but a partnership between Ryan Ansell (28 not out) and Cyrus Dean (25 not out) saw them home.
Freshwater were able to reach 124-4 against Bembridge, thanks to some poor bowling from their opponents.
Freshwater returned the favour, conceding almost 60 runs in extras, and Bembridge surpassed their total with nearly two overs to spare. Dan McArthur top-scored with 26 not out.
Am impressive display in the field enabled Binstead Royals to limit Cask and Crispin to a total of 105-4. Geoff Smith was at his best and bowled a maiden to complete his spell.
There were two wickets for Rod Kellaway when the Royals batted, but Chris Hebberd batted sensibly and victory was achieved by two wickets in the penultimate over.
