A Croydon number-cruncher has come top of his worldwide class in a module of his Association of Chartered Certified Accountants' (ACCA) exams.

Philip Reynolds, 25, of Bramley Hill, South Croydon, works in the Corporate Recovery Department of Pricewaterhouse Coopers in London and received a cheque for £500 and a medal at a recent award ceremony in London.

Philip said: "I decided to study for the ACCA qualification because it is the fastest growing UK qualification and is recognised worldwide."
