ORPINGTON Library is holding a HG Wells night to celebrate World Book Day.
The event will include a brief introduction about the author and his connection with Bromley, where he lived.
And a video will be shown on the impact of an Orson Welles' radio broadcast from HG Wells' famous book War of the Worlds.
The event, for members of local reading groups, is at 6.30pm on March 14, at Orpington Library, in The Priory, Church Hill.
Anyone who wants to join Orpington Library Reading Group, or one of the borough's other reading groups, can call senior librarian Jackie Shearring on 01689 831551.
