CRICKETMUHAMMAD Raza scored the IW County Press Corporate twenty20 competition’s first century, leading his Red Funnel side to a record 190 without loss.
With the help of Shamas Quarashi, who scored 69 not out, Red Funnel beat Gurit by 45 runs, in Group A.
In Group B, GKN took on the unbeaten RWE Npower. Npower made 102 all out in 19.3 overs, while GKN were bowled out for 65 in the 17th over, giving Npower a 37-run victory.
Back in Group A, www.wightagents.co.uk took on Gurit.
A well made 55 not out by 17-year-old estate agent Jamie Miller, supported by 31 from Pete Dickinson saw wightagents reach 153 for 5 in their 20 overs. In reply, Gurit scored 113 for 6, with Neil Westhorpe top scoring on 37 not out.
With all Group B fixtures complete, both Lighthouse Medical and RWE Npower qualify for the finals day at Newclose on July 19. The Group A winners will play RWE Npower and Lighthouse Medical will play the Group A runners up before the final.
