CRICKET
RYDE II suffered defeat at the hands of Langley Manor II in Regional Division 1 South of the Hampshire League last weekend.
In a low-scoring match, Ryde struggled against some very good bowling and it was only a very mature innings of 43 from Jamie Icke and extras of 29 that got Ryde to a below par score of 131.
In reply, Ryde’s bowlers struggled to take wickets and were well beaten by six wickets with ten overs to go. K. Creswell top-scored for Langley with 68.
