A Borehamwood school is teaming up with supermarket giant Tesco in a bid to strengthen community links with the public.
Pupils and staff at Hillside School in Hillside Avenue have enlisted the Borehamwood store to help promote its forthcoming year 11 parents' evening tonight.
Tesco staff are lending a hand by announcing the evening's time and date over the branch's public-address system to remind customers who also happen to be parents of pupils at the school.
Teacher Allan Stronach said: "We thought it would be a good way to let parents know about the evening.
"Plus it gives us the chance to join forces with the Tesco branch so that we can work together in the future."
