A CLASSICAL chart-topping line up has been announced for the final evening of The Wight Proms, Last Wight of the Proms.

The Wight Proms is a brand new festival of open air picnic concerts at Northwood House that caters to lovers of both classical music and musical theatre, and Last Wight of the Proms will be the final, rousing celebration of British music.

Blake, a classical Brit Award-winning vocal group, will headline the evening, showcasing their newest album which is currently number one in the classical charts.

Also starring is Downton Abbey songstress, Mary-Jess, who won the Chinese X Factor and is currently G4's guest soprano, and the Isle of Wight Promenade Orchestra.

The Isle of Wight Promenade Orchestra is a 50-piece live orchestra created especially for The Wight Proms, consisting of players from the Island and beyond, conducted by the Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra's Jonathan Butcher.

The Last Wight of the Proms will also see performances from Island artists as supporting acts.

The four day festival will take place from Thursday, August 16 to Sunday, August 19, and picnic hampers containing Island produce will be available to pre-order when purchasing tickets.
