COWES Fringe Festival will see more than 15 soloists, bands, poets and dancers perform in the town.

Inspired by the Ventnor Fringe, the festival aims to support Cowes businesses and in an event specifically for the people of Cowes and further, the Island.

Sandra O'Toole, organiser, said: "After listening to Cowes locals say they feel they are not considered during major yachting events, I decided to do something about it and hold a community event."

The line-up includes BBC Radio stars The Hannah White Band, hip-hop, soul and jazz fusion band Clippa Sound, and Island famous Moonshine Border Morris Dancers.

The festival, held at the Cowes Combined Services and Social Club, will run from noon to 11pm on Saturday, April 28.

Tickets cost £5 and can be purchased on the Facebook event page — https://www.facebook.com/events/562510340793405/.
