A FUN day out for children with disabilities was organised by Sandown Rotary Club.

The Kids Out session at Robin Hill was for pupils of St George's School and Medina House School, and was supported by all Rotarians on the Island.

A small fleet of Southern Vectis buses took the children to Robin Hill for the day, and there was a warm welcome when Sandown town crier John Davies greeted them on arrival.

Lunch was provided by Full Spread of Lake, and as a further treat, Rotary supplied the ice creams.

Sandown Rotary Club president Vanessa Churchman said: "The weather was brilliant and added to the enjoyment for the students. The staff at Robin Hill were extremely helpful and went out of their way to make the day a success.

"Members of Sandown Rotary who gave of their time were well rewarded when they saw how much the children enjoyed themselves."
