Herne Hill Harriers showed their road running strength with a string of good performances at the weekend.

Rob Jacobs won the club's senior six mile road race championship in 31 minutes 44 seconds. Paul Binkhorst was second in 32.53 while Jak Stegner clinched the veterans' title in third.

Dutchman Ard Vink won the over50 race while 17-year-old Damian Partridge completed a memorable weekend by winning the U17 race and the Lambeth trial on Clapham Common. Other encouraging performances from HHHs stars of the future included Kelly Cox who won the Brockwell Park club championship U13 title.

Meanwhile in the Fleet half marathon Derek Baard finished a creditable seventh in 70 minutes 15 secs.
