A MAN was stabbed in the leg after being set upon by two youths in Edmonton at the weekend.

The victim was with a friend in Charlton Road at about 10.40pm on Sunday when a gang of four threw a brick at them.

Two of the gang then approached the men and asked for a light before one pulled out a plastic pipe and hit the victim over the head with it.

The victim then heard someone shout 'Go on do it' and was given what he thought was a dead left leg.

The gang then made off. It was not until later that the victim realised he had been stabbed.

He went to Chase Farm Hospital where he was given stitches for the wound.

The first thug was described as white, about 18 and wearing a white jacket. His accomplice was a black man aged about 20.

Anyone with information is asked to call Edmonton police on 345 4442.
