ISLAND singer-songwriter Claydon Connor will be performing a selection of songs at the Earl Mountbatten Hospice on Thursday.
The performance will form part of the Newport-based charity’s social programme, which aims to show the hospice is a normal and welcoming place where people can share memorable experiences together.
Hospice chief executive Nigel Hartley said: “We are very fortunate to have had a very high calibre of musicians perform for us during our concert series so far. Claydon will be no exception.
“People are consistently and pleasantly surprised by what they find when they come to one of our concerts.
“They often comment about the great hospitality and relaxed atmosphere. We hope more experience this, as it really helps to break down the misconceptions of what a hospice is like.”
The show, held in the hospice’s John Cheverton Centre, starts at 7.30pm. For tickets, which includes canapes and wine, phone 217320, or turn up on the night.
