April 30, 2001 19:14: Head down to Hever Castle, Edenbridge, for a traditional May Day with morris dancers, strolling minstrels and singers in Tudor costume, hurdy-gurdy players and maypole dancers.
The festivities run from Saturday, May 5, to Monday, May 7. The gardens open at 11am and the castle opens at noon.
Entrance is £8 for adults, £6.80 for senior citizens and £4.40 for children. No extra charge is made for the May Day events. Call 01732 861709.
