MANAGER: Tommy Taylor: Appointed Orient manager in November 1996, after leaving Cambridge United. In his playing days, Tommy had two spells at Brisbane Road, making over 250 appearances. Also spent over a decade at West Ham, making 396 appearances. A Wembley winner when the Hammers beat Fulham in 1975, and was a member of the European Cup-Winners Cup final side the following year.

FORM: Looked out of contention for a play-off slot earlier this year, but have climbed the table. Drew 2-2 with Mansfield at home on Saturday.

|PLAYERS TO WATCH|

Carl Griffiths (striker): Highspot of the 27-year-old Wales B and U21 international's career was scoring the only goal of the game in his Premiership debut for Manchester City against Everton. Began his career with Shrewsbury and was later with Portsmouth and Peterborough, before joining Orient in February last year. On target twice against Mansfield.

Colin Simpson (striker): Impressed Taylor when he scored both goals for Hendon in a 2-2 draw at Claremont Road in the FA Cup in November, and helped the Ryman League side score a shock 1-0 win the replay.

Craig Maskell (striker): Played against Barnet for Brighton earlier this season, before trying his luck in Hong Kong, and on his return was snapped just before the transfer deadline.

Martin Ling: (midfield): Skilful schemer who had a purple patch under Glenn Hoddle at Swindon, culminating in a man-of-the-match performance when Swindon beat Leicester 4-3 in the 1992-93 First Division play-off final.

MANAGER: Sammy McIlory The last of the Busby Babes, McIlory followed in the footsteps of the legendary George Best when he left his native Belfast to join Manchester United in the late 1960's, going on to make over 400 appearances. Sammy's second season in charge at Moss Rose saw Town take the Conference championship, though they weren't promoted because their ground didn't meet league standards. Then won the Championship Shield and FA Trophy, before taking the Conference title and promotion to the League last season.

FORM: Macclesfield have the only unbeaten home record in the league, having won 17 games and drawn four. Kept their noses in front of the Bees in the promotion race with an 88th minute goal to defeat Lincoln on Saturday.

|PLAYERS TO WATCH|

Efetobore Sodje (central defender): Flamboyant character who usually sports red headband. Likes to get forward and join the attack. Joined Stevenage Borough in October 1994, and was snapped up by Macclesfield for a bargain £25,000, last summer.

Ryan Price (goalkeeper): During six years with Stafford Rangers, Price played a record 320 consecutive league games, collecting four England semi-pro caps. In 1994, Barry Fry then took Price to Birmingham for £40,000, but Ian Bennett kept him out of the side.

Neil Howarth (defender): Brother of Bees skipper Lee, Neil is now the Silkmen's skipper.
