NINE Below Zero, who introduced a new eight-piece big band at Glastonbury, are set to make their Isle of Wight debut.
The R & B outfit, traditionally a quartet but augmented for live shows, were formed in the late 70s during the punk era.
The new outfit, which still includes three original members, Dennis Greaves, Mickey Burkey and Mark Feltham, were a huge hit at Glastonbury and now have a new album on release.
They will appear tonight (Sunday), at Medina Theatre, Newport, at 7.30pm.
Eric Clapton, The Kinks, Brian May of Queen and Sting have all employed the services of this band to whip up their audiences before taking the stage themselves.
