THE Island’s own Foo Fighters tribute band — Something From Nothing — headlined a popular West Country festival in front of 4,000 on Saturday night.
The five-piece outfit were the hot ticket at the annual Occombe Beer Festival, Torbay, on a sweltering day in Devon.
Something From Nothing delivered a set packed with hits from start to finish, which had the crowd bouncing and singing along in full voice.
Prior to their appearance, the band was interviewed by local radio station, Riviera FM, and played an acoustic version of Foo Fighters favourite, Times Like These, live on air.
The band, whose name was derived from the Foo Fighters single, Something From Nothing, has strong connections to Torbay, with some of the members originating from the area.
In their words, the band said afterwards: “We had an absolute blast and the crowd were amazing. We want to thank everybody for welcoming us and making the show possible. Occombe absolutely rocked.”
The combo’s next scheduled appearance on the Island is when they headline the V-Dub Festival on Saturday, August 12.
