Benny Boot will perform at Quay Arts as part of Bestival's Lost at Sea festival.
LOST AT SEA
FRESH from having Edinburgh Fringe audiences in stitches, comic Benny Boot is heading to the Isle of Wight for Lost at Sea, the new arts festival launched by Bestival.
Benny will be on the bill with Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell for a gig at Quay Arts on September 3.
If you were lost at sea what would be your:
1. Favourite solo activity?
2. Catch of the day?
In 1993, during a celebrity cricket match, famous rugby league player and TV host Paul "Fattie" Vautin pulled off a spectacular catch. That was the catch of the day for me...
3. Favourite treasure?
It would have to be the classic cursed gold! (This may be influenced by the first Pirates of the Caribbean's movie - which I watched like 12 times at the cinema when it came out).
4. Thing that makes you feel found?
Whenever I am lost, if I look at one of those big info maps, they make me feel found, because there is a always a red dot on the map, with an arrow pointing at the red dot with "YOU ARE HERE" written under. And I am all like "PHEW, FOUND!"
If I was lost at sea and with only one CD to play, I would play "The sound of the city" which is literally 2hr soundscape of a busy city... so it wouldn’t feel like I was lost at sea.
6. Top secluded spot?
Well if I tell you...it aint gonna be that secluded is it? So I will throw you a curveball and mislead you with: MACDONALDS AT WATFORD GAP SERVICES.
