More than 400 guests attended a ceremony to mark the opening of the 2ndWhitton Scouts' refurbished HQ on Sunday. The hall had been renovatedduring the summer by members of the group.
Project manager Keith Bray was awarded the Chief Scouts'Commendation for all his hard work. And the other stalwarts of therebuilding programme - Andrew Bartlett, Russell Bray, Colin Petersand Tim Furze - were presented with engraved glass tankards toacknowledge their efforts. Twickenham MP Vincent Cable, Deputy MayorCouncillor Eleanor Stanier and Derek Twine, chief executive of the ScoutAssociation, were among the guests on Sunday.
