This summer, why not enjoy the great outdoors while getting fit and at the same time raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) to help fight heart and circulatory disease, the UK's biggest killer.

British Heart Week takes place from June 10 to 18 when thousands of people will be putting their heart into a range of fun events.

This year's theme is 'Get Kids on the Go' and families up and down the country are being encouraged to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

To help you get up and go for British Heart Week and enjoy the fresh air, there are a range of fundraising events taking place to suit all ages and fitness levels.

You can choose from activities such as walking, golf, cycling or for the more energetic, hiking in spectacular scenery.

For the truly adventurous why not get your heart pumping at Britain's Biggest Mountain Challenge ,, a weekend of scaling the beautiful Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon ranges (June 10/11).

Look out for the BHF healthy heart displays in shopping centres, town halls and selected supermarkets around the country where you can buy a BHF rose. The money raised will be used to help fund research into heart disease, education and patient care initiatives. BHF receives no Government funding and relies on voluntary donations to continue its vital work.
