Hot weather and even hotter cars made the Bromley Pageant of Motoring the cool place to be on Sunday as Karen Ward-Warner and Tony Shrett in their chop-top MKII Cortina discovered. The pair joined a record 35,000 people enticed by blue skies and the 28C temperature to the world's largest one-day motor show, at Norman Park, Bromley Common. A highlight of the show was the arrival of racing legend Sir Stirling Moss with four outriders dressed in period police costume riding classic police motorcycles. Show spokesman Michael Kamlish said: "We were absolutely delighted with how everything went. The day went like clockwork and everyone went home well satisfied."
