The case of an Edgware man charged with the murder of his five-year-old son appeared at Hendon magistrates court on Wednesday last week.
John Mitten, 47, of Wenlock Road, did not appear in person but has been remanded in custody and is due back in court on Tuesday last week.
His son James had stopped breathing when he was found by his mother at their home in Wenlock Road just days before his sixth birthday.
