Thrills and spills are the order of the day this Bank Holiday Monday at the 40th fun-filled Barnet Carnival.

Death-defying motorbike stunts and a soaring sky diving display by the Royal Air Force Hawks will leave the lucky audience gasping.

Organisers promise something for all the family with entertainments, refreshments, fairground rides and stalls.

A Pok?mon cards swap session is promised as well as helicopter rides, a martial arts display and the CadburyÍs Land Truck ,, providing a play area and free chocolate.

For mums and dads a beer tent will be open all day as well as plenty of food stalls.

The fun kicks off at noon at Barnet Elizabethan's Rugby Football Club in Byng Road, Barnet.

The colourful carnival procession leaves Barnet Odeon at 12.30pm and is due to arrive at the showground at around 1pm after winding its way around town.

æBarnet Carnival, sponsored by @llgood, takes place on Monday at Barnet Elizabethans RFC, Byng Road, Barnet, from 12noon. Entrance is £3 adults, £1 children and concessions.
