Hawks squash team secured promotion last season, by finishing third in Division Five.
This year they hope to win the Fourth Division championship. Team Coach Steve Gannon said: “The team are playing their best squash for years, and have a really good chance of winning the league.”
The team for the season, sponsored by the Signor Baffi restaurant, will be: Mick Hynes, Chris Turton, Cliff Madden, Lee Prosser, Paul Buckle (captain) and Eric Armstrong.
Hawks have a keen second team who have honed their fitness in the summer league, winning promotion, and are competing in the division five winter league.
