CHELSEA.

Well what a surprise.

A heavy defeat by lowly Newcastle. But at least no major injury worries for Sunday's clash against Bolton at Stamford Bridge.

Frank Leboeuf managed to shrug off his niggling ankle injury to play the first half of Kevin Hitchcock's testimonial against Nottingham Forest on Wednesday. It finished 3-3.

Chris Bart-Williams twice gave Forest the lead with stunning strikes but Eddie Newton and Tore-Andre Flo equalised.

Mark Nicholls' cool finish gave Chelsea a second half advantage before Des Lyttle made it 3-3.

Forest boss Dave Bassett helped the Blues by fielding a 3-5-2 formation similar to the one Chelsea will face against Stuttgart - in next Thursday's European Cup Winner's Cup final in Stockholm - and Chelsea's defenders had a torrid time.

Gianfranco Zola remains Chelsea's main injury worry. He has just returned from Italy after intensive treatment on a groin problem.

Dennis Wise has been taking things easy on his toe - he spent most of the week moving into his new house.
