The Lord Mayor's Show is perhaps one of the greatest free shows on earth and for many children it is enjoyed as much as a day at Disneyland.
This spectacular annual parade around the City of London blends traditional pomp and circumstance with contributions from young people and communities across London and beyond. More than 500,000 people turn up to see the colourful floats, dozens of marching bands, dazzling costumes and troops every year.
The parade is followed by a firework display on the Thames between Blackfriars and Waterloo Bridge.
November 10, procession starts at Mansion House, 11am, fireworks display 5pm, free, www.lordmayorshow.org
