Two men were arrested for conspiracy to bring in illegal entrants after five men jumped out of their lorry when it stopped at South Mimms service station.
Police were called to the incident, which happened last Tuesday at 4.30pm, but by the time they arrived the men, believed to be Asian, had fled. The driver and passenger, both Bulgarians who spoke little English, were questioned at Borehamwood police station by immigration officers and later released without charge.
