I WOULD like to congratulate our bus company and its excellent drivers for providing a service on Christmas Day.
Just one-and-a-half hours after leaving Sandown, I was starting a five-mile ramble from Totland towards Alum Bay, Headon Warren, Colwell, Fort Victoria and Yarmouth.
Then it was back to Newport on the bus and just a seven-minute wait before catching the number three to Ventnor and enjoying the walk home through Bon-church, Luccombe and Shanklin — and all this in fine and often sunny weather.
