My husband looked after with love and care

Friday, May 19, 2017 - 10:30

From Lillian Owens and family, Ventnor:
On behalf of my family, I would like to say a big thank you to the ambulance service, the doctors, nurses and staff at the intensive care unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

On April 9, my husband, Steve, had a cardiac arrest. Luckily, our friends were able to perform CPR until an ambulance arrived. They managed to stabilise him and he was rushed into St Mary’s and admitted to the intensive care unit.
He was there for two days and was taken care of by the most amazing doctors, nurses, and staff. They were caring, compassionate, professional and even made time to make sure we were looked after. Sadly, Steve passed away on April 11, peacefully and with all his family with him.
For this, we will be forever grateful and would like to say thank you to all who helped and for the love and care that was shown to Steve.
