THE new maternity theatres at Watford General Hospital will beopened by the town's MP Miss Claire Ward tomorrow (Friday).
The maternity theatres have had a major face-lift, which has transformed them into state-of-the-art obstretics and gynaelogical theatres, which were opened to the public in March.
Head of women's services at the hospital, Ms Karen Proctor, said: 'We are delighted the Claire Ward is taking time out of her busy schedule to officially open our theatres.
'In recent months they have been completely re-designed to become three modern facilities and include anaesthetic rooms, preparation rooms and a four-bedded recovery area.'
Miss Ward will be given a tour of the department during the official opening at 2.30pm.
