April 27, 2001 15:07: STAFF and pupils at Sydenham High School are appealed for sponsors to help fund an eight-day charity trek to Morocco.

The school, in Westwood Hill, will send 15 students and two staff members to the Atlas mountains, in October.

The school has pledged to give 50 per cent of money it raises to Whizz Kids, a disabled children's charity. But to make the adventure possible it must raise more than £11,000, or £750 a head.

The biggest company to sponsor the expedition will have its name printed on T-shirts specially designed for the trip.

The students will wear these T-shirts during the trek.
