A wealthy client has denied taking a financial adviser prisoner when she refused his advances.
Minhajuddin Syed, 61, of Hayworth Close, Pinner, denied two charges of indecent assault and one of false imprisonment at the Old Bailey on Wednesday last week.
He locked the 32-year-old woman in a house and tried to kiss her in December last year, the court heard.
They met a month earlier when Syed wanted to discuss investing £450,000. At that meeting he had allegedly touched her feet under a table. They met again and he took her to a house in Beaumont Court on the Grahame Park Estate, Colindale.
ñHe moved himself closer and put his hand behind my back to pull me towards him,î she said. ñHe started kissing my hand.
ñI was shouting ïjust get off me. ThatÍs it, IÍm leavingÍ.î
But he stopped her until she threatened to call her boss.
The trial continues.
