Prizewinning artist Dora Tuttiett describes herself as a colour specialist. It's all about experimenting with colour schemes and mood, she said at the Petts Wood home where she grew up and now uses as her studio.
She said: "I prefer to work at night, from about 9pm through till 4am. I always have disco music in the background to keep the energy levels high.
"My inspiration comes from all over the place. I often focus on movement, or on a mood or feeling, which I will capture with a quick sketch."
Each painting takes around two months to create and you can view 25 of them in her new exhibition at Bromley Library, High Street, Bromley, from Monday, July 30, to Thursday, August 30.
Tuttiett, 65, studied at Bromley College and the Royal Academy of Art, where she won an award for landscape painting. She now teaches at Elmers End Art Centre.
