OPPOSITION leader Iain Duncan Smith MP visited the borough to meet members of the Beckenham Constituency Conservative Association.
He was guest speaker at the association's annual dinner, held at the HSBC sports club, Lennard Road, Beckenham, on Friday, November 9.
Mr Duncan Smith's well-received address praised the hard work of Bromley Council in the crackdown on graffiti and abandoned cars.
However, he also spoke of the poor staffing levels in the children's services, "which it is essential we address".
The event was attended by 200 guests, who enjoyed music from the Bromley Youth Music Trust and had a chance to meet Mr Duncan Smith before dinner began.
