CHILDCARE groups in north Kent are invited to apply for a slice of millions of pounds in government funds.
Kent County Council's (KCC) Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership has received more than £2m from the Department for Education and Skills and £1m from the New Opportunities Fund.
A further £400,000 has been secured from The European Social Fund to train carers.
This money will go to building nurseries and developing existing ones as part of KCC's three-year aim to create 350 full-time places for under-fives.
