Banstead travelled to Berkshire for their last away game of the season on Saturday, but couldn't make it seven consecutive wins in a frustrating afternoon at Bulpit Lane.

Banstead looked promising and showed no signs of complacency following their recent good results.

Taylor could have put the A's in front on 13 minutes, when he rounded the keeper. But the angle proved too acute and he crashed his shot into the side netting.

It was the first in a series of missed opportunities by Banstead, with Webb spurning three chances in a frantic fifteen minute period.

Hungerford's first goal came against the run of play with a well struck shot on 38 minutes by Danny Stevens.

Kevin Webb had a golden opportunity to put Banstead back on level terms just before half time, but he struck wide of goal from less than six yards away.

It rounded off a disap-pointing 45 minutes for the A's.

Banstead started to fade in the opening exchanges of the second half, and a 67th minute goal from Durkin killed them off.

The A's misery was completed in the 82 minute when Durkin - profitting from some sloppy defending by Ward - ran on goal and tucked the ball past Shimmel. The A's can feel quite disappointed with this display.
