Festival on awards shortlist

The Isle of Wight Festival has been shortlisted for the Best Live Event category of this year’s NME Awards.

THE Isle of Wight Festival has been shortlisted for one of the top awards in music.

The festival will be up against Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park and the V Festival in the Best Live Event category of this year’s NME Awards.

Confirmed Friday night act The Ting Tings have been shortlisted for best track for their single That’s Not My Name.

Bestival headliner Amy Winehouse may be less impressed to learn she has been shortlisted in the Worst Dressed and Villain of the Year categories.
