Aleks Przespolewski scored Newport's winning goal on Tuesday.
FOOTBALL NEWPORT moved up to sixth in the Sydenhams Wessex League Premier Division with a dramatic 3-2 win at Fareham Town on Tuesday night.
The side were comfortably 2-0 up thanks to goals from GC Giancovich and Tom McInnes but two second-half goals in quick succession from Fareham tied the game. It wasn’t until the 84th minute that Newport got the winner, courtesy of Aleks Przespolewski.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, East Cowes Vics were beaten 2-0 away at second-placed Team Solent.
