COWES Sports continued their fantastic form today (Saturday) as they defeated Fleet Spurs 4-0 in Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1.

They opened up a quick two-goal lead through Nathan Lewis and Jordan Browne, and then extended through Jared Wetherick and skipper Craig Insley.

Elsewhere, East Cowes Vics came close to a great result at home to Hythe and Dibden. They went 1-0 up through Charlie Urry late on but Hythe equalised quickly and then took all three points with a penalty.

In the Premier Division, Newport left it late to earn a draw against Whitchurch Utd at St George's Park. Whitchurch went ahead with a first half penalty, but with five minutes left the Islanders drew level through Ollie Fleming.
