Cowes return to winning ways

COWES Sports returned to winning ways today (Saturday) after a scrappy victory at home to US Portsmouth.

In a match where neither side produced many clear cut chances, the Yachtsmen won with a 71st minute close-range strike from Ollie Wilson.
The win keeps Cowes in contention for a promotion slot in Sydenhams Wessex League Division 1.
East Cowes Vics lost their match at Amesbury Town 4-2, with Jack Thompson and Brendan Arnold with the goals.
In the Premier Division, Newport drew 0-0 at Brockenhurst, maintaining their unbeaten run.
