Crown reach another Sunday final

FOOTBALL CROWN reached the final of the IW Sunday League’s Harold Moody Trophy with a 4-1 win at Shanklin last weekend.

Despite Jason Smythers’s goal, Crown took the victory courtesy of an own goal, and a hat-trick by Jared Wetherick.

In league action, Shorwell took the points against Sands Hotel with a 3-1 win, despite starting with ten men.

Jack Haigh scored for Sands, with Michael Kennett, Scott Blackwell and Fran Johnson netting for the visitors.

Mad Cow cruised to a 7-0 win at High Park Tavern, with goals for Harry Wade, three, Kenny Cuthbert, Jez Conway, Gavin Dicker and John Chambers. Meanwhile, Royal Canaries defeated HKE Falcon 2-0, with goals from Nathan Holton and Chris Murray.
