COWES Sports exited the FA Cup at the first hurdle today (Sunday).
The side travelled to Christchurch in the extra-preliminary round of the competition, and were 4-0 down by half time. The Yachtsmen fared much better in the second half but they were unable to narrow the deficit, and Christchurch pressed on to score another goal, finishing 5-0 winners.
Yesterday, East Cowes Vics and Newport progressed with wins over Verwood Town and New Milton respectively.
